On March 11, 2026, I was examining how practice and evidence affect confidence.

Confidence is not a calculated product of evidence, story, and action. It is also shaped by context, past experience, health, power, support, and the consequence of being wrong.
Practice can still help:
- Repeat a bounded skill under conditions that provide useful feedback.
- Begin with an action small enough for the actual risk.
- Record evidence of improvement as well as evidence that the approach needs to change.
- Reflect on the story being formed from that evidence.
Action does not always produce confidence, and survival is not proof that a risk was wise. The loop is a way to learn, not engineer certainty.
